We’ve all heard the saying that “Buyers are Liars”, right? Well, if you stop and think about that quote for a second, you may realize that it might be true - to a degree. At any given time, we’ve all been buyers - that we can agree on. So why the strereotype? Here’s my 2 cents. Most buyers - consumers - are interested in purchasing something. And most of the time the person helping them is a salesperson. Not all salespeople are created equal. If a buyer doesn’t trust you or the information which you provide them, then they may not be as forthcoming or upfront with you as you’d like. Go figure.

The key to breaking this stereotype is to gain the buyers trust. Build a relationship with them. Provide them with valuable information and guidance. My experiences have taught me treat everybody like I would like to be treated. Like family.
